Marie Achour
Marie is a product strategy leader with two decades of experience guiding global teams through transformation and delivering innovation at pace. Her career spans international roles across major financial institutions and leading technology hubs.
Today, as Chief Product Officer at Moodle, Marie oversees the development of Moodle LMS – a platform that serves half a billion people worldwide, advancing equitable access to education.

Ryan Elwell
At last year’s MoodleMoot Australia, Ryan Elwell has delivered a memorable session on a human-centred pathway to avoiding adversarial AI. This year, we’re delighted to welcome Ryan back as he explores how can we make the invisible, visible when it comes to evaluating students’ thinking, process and understanding.
Ryan is a lecturer and doctoral researcher in the Faculty of Education at the University of Canberra, specialising in STEM, digital pedagogies, and human-centred AI integration. With over two decades of experience spanning classroom teaching, system-level leadership as Director of Digital Education for ACT public schools, and tertiary education, he focuses on empowering teachers to amplify their impact. A nationally recognised Google Innovator and Trainer, Ryan’s PhD research explores informal, self-directed professional learning, supporting his mission to ensure technology enhances rather than replaces human expertise in education.
