Catalyst are thrilled to announce that after complex engagement with Allied Press, their website for Otago Daily Times is now live. This has been a huge effort from a group of intelligent, highly knowledgeable and skilled professionals across Catalyst.
The launch day based at Christchurch with backup and support from Wellington, was nothing but extravagant with a fire alarm going off right in the middle of the launch so our technical team were forced to move outside with laptops and proceed from there. Needless to say the Southern chill was noticeable once outside.
This project began in May 2015 and involved a range of professionals working from Wellington, Christchurch and Sydney. The team is delighted it is now complete and is looking forward to an ongoing relationship with Allied Press in future projects.
The new website was built on Drupal 7 CMS and according to Piwik, the open source analytical tool, it is comfortably handling over 1500 concurrent users based all over the world. The sites performance is excellent for Otago users and those further afield. Catalyst is delighted to be able to contribute to such an iconic news presence on the web and improve the online experience of their ever expanding readership-base.
Matthew Holdridge, Commercial Manager at Allied Press, has been thrilled with the end result and is thoroughly enjoying all the great feedback he is receiving from the readers”. Holdridge says, "following an extensive programme to re-develop ODT.co.nz in to a mobile responsive site with clean modern design, we are extremely pleased with the new site and our ongoing partnership with Catalyst... Even more pleasing however, is the positive feedback we've been receiving from readers across New Zealand."
A huge congratulations to all the team who worked hard getting this project complete. We wish Allied Press all the very best with their new website.
