Catalyst IT is part of a global team of skilled open source technologists. We specialise in developing, designing and supporting enterprise grade systems using open source technologies.
We are looking for an experienced full stack developer to join our Wellington office; someone who is passionate about open source, and can think innovatively and creatively.
You will be working in a small team, dedicated primarily to one of our long-term client projects. You will be working on an existing, long-lived codebase, but you will need to be comfortable taking the lead on the design of new components.
Top-notch communication skills are key, as you will be meeting the client face-to-face on a regular basis. This includes being on-site with them at times, which requires you to be eligible for a security clearance.
We are looking for someone with excellent programming skills in a variety of languages, who has good unit testing habits, and has experience with version control and collaborative development practices (such as code reviews).

Previous experience with other open source software and practices will be a definite advantage as well so please be sure to note these, as well as any open source contributions you've made.
